President

Judi R Mattorano, Pharm.D.

Dr. Mattorano received her Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1993 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. She went on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2008 from the University of Florida.  With her most recent recognition in 2020, Dr. Mattorano is a two-time Pharmacist of the Year recipient in the state of Nevada.  

Dr. Mattorano began her career as a Director of Pharmacy in 1993 for a long-term acute care hospital.  She was also a Medical Science Liaison, specializing in infectious diseases for Merck & Co.  After joining St. Rose Dominican hospital in 2000, Dr. Mattorano held various positions in the pharmacy department, including pharmacy technician supervisor and automation supervisor. Dr. Mattorano’s current role as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Internal Medicine has been the most rewarding for her.  Her areas of interest are internal medicine, total parenteral nutrition, anticoagulation, and infectious diseases. She currently offers an advanced experiential (APPE) rotation in Internal Medicine for pharmacy students.

Immediate Past President 

Julie Seidlinger, Pharm.D.

Dr. Julie Seidlinger received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University College of Pharmacy in Fargo, North Dakota in 2005. Following her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, she completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, then went on to do the George P. Provost Editorial Internship with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Bethesda, Maryland.  

Her current role at St. Rose Dominican is Medication Safety Officer. This position involves measuring and improving medication safety, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and individual clinicians. She evaluates medication events, quality metrics, and medication safety technology usage reports guides areas of focus. In addition, she precepts pharmacy students and develops nursing and pharmacy education as well as creates, edits, and provides lectures and patient education.

Kaylee Putney, PharmD, BCCCP, BCPS, MBA

Kaylee Putney, PharmD, BCCCP, BCPS, MBA, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Roseman University of Health Sciences, received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Roseman University of Health Sciences. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where she currently practices as a clinical pharmacist in the medical and surgical ICUs. In addition to rounding with the critical care teams, she precepts APPE students and PGY-1 pharmacy residents on critical care
rotations. She is involved in the community by serving as a facilitator and volunteer for many events, such as, vaccination clinics, health fairs, comprehensive medication review events, and drug take back events. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, working out, and going on hikes with her dog, Muffin.

Ragini S. Bhakta, PharmD, BCPS

Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Cardiology; Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy

Dr. Bhakta received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of the Pacific.  She completed a pharmacy practice residency at Veterans Affairs hospital in Long Beach, California. Dr. Bhakta is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Roseman University of Health Sciences and precepts students on their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs). She has more than 10 years of experience as a clinical specialist in cardiology. Her primary practice involves rounding with cardiology, providing formulary management, and coordinating policy and/or procedure updates as related to the Pharmacy and Cardiology departments. Her clinical research interests include antithrombotic medications as related to acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Dr. Bhakta has given professional presentations at California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP), Nevada Society of Health-System Pharmacist (NVSHP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and AHA Get with the Guidelines® seminars.  She is a member and President for NVSHP, as well as a member of ACCP and ASHP.

 Meg Olson, PharmD

Megumi (Meg) Olsen is an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Idaho State University and continued to do a PGY-1 Acute Care residency at the University of Michigan Health. During her time in Michigan, she was adjunct clinical faculty and taught a full course at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Meg is very passionate about learning, as well as teaching (whether it be pharmacy learners or medical learners). Her favorite topics within medicine include anticoagulation and cardiology. Meg is a big lover of music and can regularly be found listening to music or attending some type of live music event (whether that be musicals, concerts, symphonies, or others).

Adam Porath, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCACP

Adam Porath is the Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager at Renown Health. In his role, Adam oversees the Pharmacotherapy and Anticoagulation clinics and manages the Healthcare Center Pharmacy. Adam completed a PGY1 Residency at Renown and has been on the pharmacy staff in various roles since 2005. Adam volunteered for NVSHP to help push Provider Status forward in our State. He is excited to see the impact of the passage of SB260 and the expansion of collaborative pharmacy practice in Nevada.

Alana Whittaker, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCGP

Alana Whittaker is a graduate of Howard University in Washington D.C.  She is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice for Roseman University.  Alana is also an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy practitioner at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas.   


 Pharmacy Technician Representative

Mark Brunton CPHT, MSHE

Mark Brunton has worked as a technician in the hospital setting for over 12 years. After many years he began working as an advocate and educator. He served as the President of the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council from 2017-2018. He currently serves as a member of the Certification Council for PTCB. When not working to enhance technician competence and advocate for increased responsibilities, he enjoys swing dancing and tinkering in the garage.

Connor Aldridge, PharmD

Connor Aldridge earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2017. He then went to complete his Pharm.D. at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Aurora, Colorado in 2021. After briefly working at a Safeway pharmacy in rural Colorado after graduation, he matched with Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall in the inaugural pharmacy residency program as a PGY-1. Upon completion of the PGY-1 residency, he moved to Reno, NV to train as part of the PGY-2 Infectious Disease pharmacy residency at Renown Regional Medical Center. Some of his hobbies include hiking, gym, watching Colorado sports, and keeping in contact with family. He also likes to spend time with co-residents and learn about quirks of Nevada (i.e. slot machines at Smith’s).

Suleiman (Sully) Abdelhade, PharmD

Suleiman (Sully) Abdelhade was born in Carson City, Nevada. His interest in pharmacy began after becoming a pharmacy technician at his local CVS. After graduation from Pacific University School of Pharmacy- Oregon in 2022, he completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency with the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. He stayed on with the VA and is currently a PGY-2 in Population Health Management and Data Analytics working with the Veterans Integrated Service Network.

Kayley Englund, PharmD Candidate

Kayley Englund was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She completed her biology prerequisites at Dixie State University and UNLV. Her interest in pharmacy began in 2020 when she got her tech license at a Walgreens in St. George, Utah. She plans to pursue drug development beyond graduation, and hopes to get involved in a phase one drug development company.
