NVSHP's First Annual Meeting at the Springs Preserve

“Blazing New Trails in Nevada Pharmacy” was the theme of the inaugural NVSHP annual meeting on October 18th at the beautiful Springs Preserve in Las Vegas. The Springs Preserve is a 180-acre non-gaming cultural and historical attraction.
The NVSHP annual program included breakfast, lunch, a NVSHP town hall meeting and evening reception, exhibitor booths and up to 9 hours of ACPE programming to choose from.

NVSHP Events at Midyear 2008

Midyear 2008 was busy as expected. Legislative committee member, Adam Porath , attended the State Affiliate Legislative meeting. Director at Large, Jeff Rosenblatt and president, Julie Rodgers, attended the State Affiliate meeting on Decision to Volunteer where we discussed the characteristics of volunteers, how and why people volunteer, understanding effective volunteer recruitment and retaining volunteers and attracting non-volunteers.  

Nevada had 4 residency booths in the showcase: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare system, Renown, University Medical Center and Sierra Nevada VA. Current residents had poster presentations as well.
